5. Key Guidelines
(i) Mandatory Biometric Attendance:
- a) The biometric device is the sole source for tracking attendance.
- b) Employees failing to record their biometric entry or exit will not have their attendance recorded, and such instances will be treated as unpaid leave.
- c) Informing HR or the reporting manager about a missed biometric punch will not be accepted as an alternative.
(ii) Lunch Ordering Deadline: Employees who wish to order lunch from the designated food delivery partner must place their orders by 12:00 PM. Late orders may lead to delivery delays and disruptions, impacting work schedules.
(iii) Accountability: Employees are responsible for adhering to the punch-in and punch-out requirements and ensuring timely lunch arrangements.
(iv) Flexibility with Approval: In cases of unavoidable delays (e.g., medical emergencies), employees must ensure their biometric entry is logged upon arrival. Failure to do so will still result in a loss of pay for the day.
6. Policy Enforcement
- (a) Monitoring: The HR department will monitor biometric records and lunch ordering deadlines regularly and address discrepancies.
- (b) Escalations: Repeated violations or non-compliance with biometric attendance or lunch timing rules will be escalated to management, and corrective actions may include stricter penalties or disciplinary measures.
Conclusion
This policy ensures discipline and efficiency through clear rules for office timings, attendance tracking, and lunch breaks. Adherence to these guidelines is critical for maintaining a professional and productive workplace.
