1. Purpose:

4. Policy Guidelines:
Training Needs Identification:
1. Training needs will be identified through:
- (a) Performance appraisals and individual development plans (IDPs).
- (b) Feedback from managers and employees.
- (c) Analysis of organizational goals and industry trends.
2. An annual Training Needs Assessment (TNA) will be conducted by the HR Department.
Types of Training:
1. Onboarding Training: Designed for new employees to familiarize them with company policies, values, and operations.
2. Technical Training: Focuses on role-specific technical skills required for job performance.
Training Methods:
- (a) Classroom Sessions: Workshops and seminars conducted in-house or externally.
- (b) E-Learning Modules: Online courses and virtual training sessions.
- (c) On-the-Job Training: Practical training under supervision.
- (d) Mentorship Programs: Pairing employees with experienced mentors for skill and career development.
5. Roles and Responsibilities:
HR Department:
- (a) Conduct training needs assessments and design annual training plans.
- (b) Organize and coordinate training sessions, including logistics and resource allocation.
- (c) Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
Managers and Supervisors:
- (a) Identify team-specific training needs and recommend employees for training programs.
- (b) Provide on-the-job guidance and monitor post-training performance improvements.
Employees:
- (a) Participate actively in training sessions and apply learned skills to their roles.
- (b) Provide feedback on training programs to help improve future initiatives.
6. Training Budget:
- (a) An annual budget will be allocated for training and development initiatives.
- (b) Priority will be given to programs aligned with business goals and critical skill gaps.
- (c) Employees attending external training or certification programs may be eligible for reimbursement, subject to approval.
7. Monitoring and Evaluation:
- (a) Pre- and post-training assessments will be conducted to measure learning outcomes.
- (b) Training feedback will be collected from participants to evaluate program effectiveness.
- (c) The HR Department will maintain records of all training programs, participants, and outcomes.
8. Training Calendar:
- (a) The HR Department will publish a yearly training calendar detailing planned programs.
- (b) Employees will be notified of relevant sessions in advance to ensure participation.
9. Employee Bond for Sponsored Training:
For high-cost external training or certifications, employees may be required to sign a service bond to ensure a return on investment.
10. Review and Amendments:
This policy will be reviewed annually based on feedback and changing business needs. Amendments will be approved by the Board of Directors.
