Yearly Leave Policy

1. Purpose

The Yearly Leave Policy ensures employees have a clear framework for availing leaves, promoting work-life balance while maintaining operational efficiency.

2. Applicability

This policy applies to all employees of Sunbeam Elastomers Pvt. Ltd., including full-time, part-time, and contractual staff.

3. Leave Types and Entitlements

4. Weekly Off Policy

  • (a) Staff: Weekly off is fixed on Sunday.
  • (b) Laborers: Weekly off is fixed on Thursday.
  • (c) Employees must adhere to their designated weekly off day. Any changes require prior approval from the reporting manager.

5. Leave Application and Approval

Application Process:
  • (a) All leave requests must be submitted through the company’s HR portal or directly to the reporting manager.
  • (b) Leaves must be applied for at least 5 working days in advance (except in emergencies).
Approval Process:
  • (a) Leave requests are subject to approval by the reporting manager.
  • (b) Leaves during critical business periods (e.g., Feb, March) will require senior management approval.

6. Unused Leave Policy

Leave Carry-Forward: Unused yearly leaves cannot be carried forward to the next calendar year.

Leave Encashment: Sunbeam Elastomers does not provide leave encashment for unused leaves.

7. Non-Compliance and Penalties

Unapproved Leave: Taking leave without prior approval will result in a salary deduction for the corresponding days.

Exceeding Leave Entitlement: Additional leaves taken beyond the yearly entitlement will be treated as unpaid leave.

8. Monitoring and Records

The HR department will maintain detailed leave records for all employees on a monthly basis.

9. Exceptions and Special Considerations

Exceptions to the leave policy, including adjustments during emergencies, may be granted at the discretion of senior management.

Policy Acknowledgment

Employees are required to read and acknowledge this Yearly Leave Policy during onboarding and at the start of each calendar year.
